What is Montessori Method?

An Italian woman, Dr. Maria Montessori (1870 – 1950) found this educational method.  At the beginning, she was working for mentally challenged children.  Later, she found out that it is also effective for every child with or without mental challenges. 

Montessori Curriculum.

·         Practical life (*daily practice, students can learn manners as well)

·         Sensorial (five senses)

·         Language (metal inset, picture and photo cards, listen, speak, read, writing practice)

·         Math (understanding numbers and quantity, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, etc.)

bullet

·         Culture and Science (Geography, History, Botany, Zoology, Science experiments)

Japanese Montessori also emphasizes Arts and Crafts.  Arts and Crafts are often introduced for each season and Japanese and U.S.event.
